Our Cursillo Community...

Hello everyone,

We have lots of great news to share about the Cursillo movement in the Pensacola-Tallahassee Diocese:

1st: Fr.Sean Knox has been assigned as our new Spiritual Director by Bishop
Ricard. Fr. Sean will soon be naming two deacons that will assist him as
Assistant Spiritual Directors - one from each side of our diocese. Bishop
Ricard has asked our movement to assist him in his goal to evangelize the
college environments in our diocese. Members of the School of Leaders,
together with Fr. Sean, have begun working on a plan to accomplish this goal.
All Cursillistas are invited to join us at the School of Leaders meetings to
share our ideas, gifts and talents to succeed in this challenge.

2nd: Dates for Cursillo weekends have been set for 2007: May 3 - 6 and May 17 - 20.
Please prayerfully consider if you can make the commitment of time and
prayer to be a member of the teams, and/or sponsor a candidate. We will be
holding team formation meetings to properly prepare the men's and women's teams
for these weekends. The location and dates for these team formation meetings
have not yet been determined. If you are interested, and would like more
information as it becomes available, please contact Cathy Currier - send an email to chcurrier at earthlink.net.

We are in need of a Pre-Cursillo Chairperson and committee members. Please contact
Paul Currier if you are interested in serving in Pre-Cursillo.

Candidate applications, Sponsor booklets and the "What is Cursillo" booklets
will be available at the Ultreya meetings for those interested in sponsoring a
candidate for the upcoming weekends.

Please mark the following dates on your calendar for the remainder of 2006.
Dates for 2007 will be forthcoming:

School of Leaders meetings
Saturday, November 18, 2006 9 - 11 AM at Holy Name of Jesus - Niceville
Saturday, December 12, 2006 9 - 11 AM at Our Lady of Victory - Crestview

We are in need of some Cursillistas to volunteer for the meditation or witness
at the November and December Ultreya meetings in Niceville. Please prayerfully
consider if you have something to share that will assist others in their
Formation, Study or Evangelization efforts, and contact Cathy Currier
to schedule.

We have also talked about having a Christmas Pot Luck social at the December
Ultreya meeting. Please indicate if this is of interest to you.

The Post-Cursillo committee is interested in identifying all group reunions in
the diocese, and starting up Ultreya and School of Leaders meetings in the
Tallahassee area. This 4th day information will be of great benefit to our
community as we prepare for the candidates who will attend the 2007 Cursillo
weekends. If your group is willing to invite new candidates to your meetings,
please reply with the date, time, and location of your group reunion.

As always, I welcome your comments and suggestions in reaching all Cursillistas
in our Diocese. Please help me get the word out by sharing this information
with other Cursillistas that did not recieve this email.

And finally, I ask for your prayers and palanca for the Cursillo movement in our
Diocese. We give thanks to God for our new spiritual director and assistant
spiritual directors. We pray for reconciliation for any divisive issues that
occurred in the past, and look forward to a renewed spirit and commitment to our
4th day.
