SUBMIT A WITNESS ARTICLE

We are looking for "witness articles" that focus on how the 4th day is affecting your life.  Ask yourself, "Did using the Cursillo Method affect my life this week?

Group Reunion, Ultreya, Piety, Study, and Action are the best topics.  Take something that you shared with your group reunion and write it down, especially if you think it could benefit others.  Four to six paragraphs is the perfect size.  We plan to fill 100% of each issue with witness articles, so you have an excellent chance of getting published.  Please read our author guidelines and attach your article to an email in MSWord or in plain text format, and send it to our editor

AFTER THE CURSILLO WEEKEND

The Cursillo Movement realizes that it will not be an easy task for us to try to bring Christ to our environments.  Therefore, the Cursillo Movement has two very important tools to assist each of us.  These tools are the Group Reunion and the Ultreya.

GROUP REUNION

The Group Reunion is a small group of Cursillo friends that meet on a regular basis.  The purpose of this meeting is to share with one another the growth that has taken place within each of us. We share our spiritual growth as well as our growth in becoming a person who strives to bring a Christ-like attitude to our environments.  This meeting is referred to as a Friendship Group.

As we make attempts to bring Christ into our various environments, we will sometimes become frustrated.  The group Reunion also provides the continual support we need in order to persevere as a part of God's plan.

ULTREYA

The Ultreya (Spanish word meaning Onward) is the larger Cursillo community.  It is the time for the members of the Group Reunions to meet with members of other Group Reunions.  The Ultreya is also beneficial in providing the support and encouragement that each of us needs.

School of Leaders

The School of Leaders continues to meet on the first Wednesday of each month at Mary Queen of Heaven.  We pray, visit the Blessed Sacrament, group, and hear talks on Cursillo techniques and Christian Doctrine all for the purpose of bringing more people to Christ and living our lives in Christian Community using the Cursillo Method.  Through the work of the schools section, Pre-Cursillo, Cursillo, and Post Cursillo, we strive to guide the movement in our diocese to better serve the mission of the movement and the Church.

The topics that we will be studying in the upcoming year will be presented at the September meeting.  If you are a cursillista interested in immersing yourself deeper into the movement and would like to become part of the school please call me at 859- 331-8924.
