Christ is counting on us, and we are counting on Christ! |
Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who have petitioned on behalf of themselves or a loved one. If you have a prayer request you would like to submit, please fill out the form below to email the web designer. Your prayer will then be posted to this page. Submit a prayer request in however much detail you feel comfortable with, God will know the details.
- Please pray for Lucas, who is in the hospital with pneumonia. He will be 2 in June.
- Please pray for baby Kathleen, who was born Friday, May 11. She is having some slight breathing issues and has been unable to eat. She was placed in NICU for antibiotics, oxygen, and IV fluids. While not entirely serious, the new parents are upset. Please pray for wonderful breath rates!
- Please pray for our Cursillo brother, Dan F., who suffered a heart attack. Please pray for his quick recovery and for his family.
- Please pray for Mel, whose cancer has returned.
- Please pray for Carolyn's friend who is having surgery and is in need of prayers for the success of the surgery, the guidance and wisdom of the doctors and nurses caring for her, and for a speedy recovery without complications.
- Please pray for Lolita H. who is dealing with skin breakdown due to pressure on her skin. Pray for effective treatment and expeditious healing. Thank you.
- Update on Neelis B.: The spot on his lung turned out to be scar tissue. Our God is an Awesome God. A big thanks to all of you wonderful prayer warriors.
- Update on Marian P.: She is home recovering well from surgery and is reporting relief from the pain and discomfort she has been tolerating for the last three years. God is so incredibly gracious. Thank you for the outflow of thoughts and prayers.
- From Sarah Y.: Please add Mom, Marian P., to your prayers asking God to guide her and Dr. Sciacca through a procedure with the utmost of comfort, care, and success.
- Update on Jazmyn: She is now home but has to continue breathing treatments. Thanks to all for prayers. Please continue to remember her in your prayers. Thank you.
- Update on Eddie: Eddie remains in the hospital but is doing well. He had a reaction during his second antibody treatment and had to be readmitted. Subsequently, he was moved to ICU because his O2 level kept dropping and because of the blood clot in his lungs. It looks like he will remain hospitalized through this next treatment on Friday. We hope and pray that this will all be over soon as a week from Friday should be the last of those treatments. Please keep praying!
- Please pray for Neelis B. who is undergoing tests for a spot on his lung.
- Continue to keep Maxi C. in your prayers. The Doctor said the diabetic ulcer on her foot may never heal and will need constant attention. She is restricted to home and allowed very little walking.
- Jazmyn M., age 8 or 9, needs our prayers. She has inoperable cysts growing in her brain causing a variety of major problems.
- Please keep Norma F. in your prayers. She is healing from injuries from a fall she had recently. Her broken wrist continues to heal; on Tuesday she will have surgery on her broken nose.
- Please pray for the repose of the soul of long-time Cursillista, Dick Sweeney, who passed away April 2, 2012. Also, pray for his wife, Jane, who is also a Cursillista.
- Update on JoAnn F.: Everything went well. Her doctor said the surgery went fine and she will probably be in the hospital for 3 days. Thank you again for keeping her in your prayers.
- JoAnn F. will have a total knee replacement at St. Vincent's tomorrow morning. Please send up prayers for her and her doctor and pray she'll have a speedy recovery without complications.
- Update on Frank: Frank is improving, but will remain in the hospital for a few more days. He is walking and on a liquid diet. Through Our Lord's healing power, we are praying for a complete
healing and strength for Frank's family.
- From Ed: "My son Eddie, age 39, has cancer. The Doc came in last night and
confirmed the diagnosis - Eddie has Non Hodgkins Folicular Lymphoma and they will begin his first treatment of Anti-bodies (not chemo) as
soon as they get a line in. Eddie went into the hospital on Monday, 12 March, with double
pneumonia. Since his white blood cell counts were down also, they began investigating further while they treated the pneumonia. The
pneumonia seems to have been solved, but his lungs are still inflamed and he is having difficulty breathing even though they have him on oxygen. One of the possible side effects of the treatment (especially
prevalent with the 1st treatment) is difficulty breathing. Since he is already having difficulties breathing, this is no minor concern. Our family have unfortunately had previous experience with this type
of situation. My daughter Mihyun passed away in 2004 from stomach cancer, and my granddaughter Maddie is now in remission from AML
Leukemia. The prognosis for my son Eddie is much better than either of those cases. The doctors tell us that this type of Lymphoma is
easily managed. Please pass this on as you think appropriate. Please also pray for his quick and complete recovery. God bless."
- From a Cursillista: "Frank R. underwent surgery for Crohns Disease 3/20/2012 with a significant part of his intestine removed.
Please pray for him for an uneventful recovery and relief of his pain. Also pray for his family who are caring for him.
Blessings to you all and your families."
- Update on baby Thomas B.: He has been admitted to Children's Hospital, he is in early stages of Pyloric Stenosis. Basically this is a muscle in his tummy that is not functioning correctly and will require surgery. He is also having breathing problems which have not been diagnosed. The Family appreciates all of the prayers being offered up for this precious little one."
- For our troops overseas and their families at home.
